Here's the video for "Change is Everything" from Son Lux's new Bones LP. It's directed by Nathan Johnson, who used 200 push pins, 500 feet of rubberized thread, and an iron will to rotoscope, among many other things, flowers bursting into bloom, whirling abstract shapes, and bandleader Ryan Lott's expressive facial profile.
The multi-talented Johnson presumably has time to painstakingly craft music videos because for the first time he isn't scoring his brother Rian's next movie (so far he's provided the music for Brick, The Brothers Bloom, and Looper). Johnson reportedly got bumped from his usual post by some geezer named "John Williams", who allegedly has more experience with this Star Wars stuff.
