Brother-sister duo The Oh Hellos' 2012 debut Through the Deep, Dark Valley was so polished and fully-formed it seemed Maggie and Tyler Heath had been practicing the songs together since they were about eight years old (they hadn't). It sounds like they've been putting the last three years to similarly good use, as the first single from their sophomore LP Dear Wormwood attests. The Screwtape Letters album title is intriguing partly because it's the not the first time ol' Clive Staples has gotten a nod from The Oh Hellos - the gorgeous "The Lament of Eustace Scrubb" from Deep, Dark Valley referenced a scene from Narnia's Voyage of the Dawn Treader. "Bitter Water" follows a similar explosive, jangly folk rock thread as their debut, and should whet your appetite for when the full record releases on October 16.
